Looking back at the past year

This was on my previous blog written on: June 12 3:26:03 AM

Wow! I'm impressed with myself. I actually woke up before noon today. So what have I done today? Not much I reckon. More vcds. Also looked thru my hsemate thesis for her. Its due on Tuesday. See, the point is that often, we look at our thesis so much while we are writing that we reach the point where we are oblivious to the mistakes and inconsistancies that we make. In our eyes, the thesis is as perfect as can be. Thats where another person is needed to look it through for us. As they say the person out of the circle is the one that look looks the clearest (or something like that). This thesis writing is a 50 page pain in the ass (pardon my language). First we go through one intensive, painful, stressful year of experiments, while doing assignments like lit review and review assay (in my case). Worrying about having no results to write up and stuff. Back in our minds is always the thought that do we get our 1st class honours? Then struggle to write up, this 50 page thesis that pretty much decides our fate. The scientific writing is painful (thats when I realized after so many years, my english is really bad), the alignment of the 50 page thing is worse (one move changes the whole document), then theres the printing which causes lots of problem (from the colour of the pictures to sending it for printing which takes 4ever as the document is really big). Not to mention, the seminar that we have to give. Imagine giving a talk in front of so many pple. I hate presentations. I hate Q&A too. Then theres the viva. 3 examiners asking questions on your project. Aka interrogation. Well for me theres just the viva left.
Away from the painful subject of honours. For once, the Brisbane Lions won their footy match while I was watching it on TV. Its the first time they have won 2 matches in a row this season. And hopefully on their way up the ladder. The Broncos also won their match. Finally Brissy teams are doing well this weekend. Now theres the F1 tomorrow.
