The missing tablet

I did say I would try harder to get back to blogging. So here I am. Unfortunately, its one for complaining only. So here we go....
Went to pray our ancestors at the temple this afternoon. After lounging fruits, food and paper money and stuff for burning to the temple, we discovered that the tablet was missing from the altar (which looks like one giant showcase of tablets). The temple was in a total mess, what with the lunar 7th month and everyone coming in to pray to their ancestors. It was total chaos, everyone asking questions and hunting for the missing tablets for their own ancestors. Also there was no order and no records of where the tablet was located. We were just pointed to this general direction and one look over scare the heck out of me. There were just rows and rows of tablets and we were to look thru all of them just to hunt down the one for our ancestors. This just doesn't make sense. On top of that, finding the one that you are looking for, the family themselves are supposed to pick it up and bring it to the counter for registeration and stuff. The monk copies lots of stuff, give the tablet a new location no (much like a new address), chants at the tablet and moves it to the new location in that big showcase. They also make you 'bao' 2 red packets and make you buy one tray of offerings from them.
Whats my take on this whole incident? Well, first I think its all just to earn extra money for the temple. See if anyone who does not come claim the tablet, then this make space for new tablet, thus extra income. Second, the whole incident was such a mess. No organisation whatsoever on the whole procedure. Its just one person who does everything. Also that monk complains so much but work so slowly.
So in the end, something that would have take like 30 mins to settle, drag onto more than an hour. But I guess, theres nothing much that you could do. Still need a place to put the tablet.....

I am still alive!

Hey! To anyone who still ever comes here to check on my survival, I am still alive. Have just been lazy to blog, busy with life, work, gym and meeting people. Well, I do know of one person who occasionally comes in to check on me and pester me to blog something. While I try to get back into the mood to blog, here are some pictures to keep you entertain. Try to take your time looking through them. Cos you never know when the next blog is going to be. Haha...Till then...

Well, fun shot in Macau. I think that was in May.

In the cable car from highlands to lowlands at Ocean Park, Hong Kong. Yup, in May as well.

Self-entertainment while waiting for train in KL, in Jan.

Sungei Wang behind us, where Candy spend the last cent she had and had to borrow more from me.

Already not very tall, still gotta pose with these really tall KLCC towers. Well, after taking loads of it from various angels and places, this is probably the best one I can find.
